A Porsche is known for being quite reliable. You may not believe this if you have seen the old bumper sticker that had words to the effect of "My other car is a Porsche (or other expensive brand). It's in the shop!" Actually a 2011 Canadian study indicated that 97.4 percent of all Porsches over the last quarter century are still on the road. The highly regarded J.D. Power and Associates named the Porsche 911 as the Most Reliable Sports Car of 2011 and it also named the top German auto manufacturer as Porsche. In fact, in December 2011 the Porsche 911 along with the Prius was named as one of Germany’s Most Reliable Vehicles.

Porsche Has won numerous awards over the years. This is important because it tells you a lot about the vehicle and the brand. For example, U.S. News & World Report named Porsche as the Best Luxury Brand for 2017 and 2016. Individual models have won awards too. The 2-seater Boxster won the Kelley Blue Book Best Buy Award for a Sports/Performance Car. The Boxster has received numerous awards including Sports Car of the Year for 2015 from the prestigious What Car? Magazine. The Porsche 911 has been in production since 1963. It was nominated for the Car of the Century but where it placed fifth. The Ford Model T was the winner. The 911 won numerous other awards including the 2012 Best Driver's Car from Motor Trend magazine. The Panamera won the Best Resale Value Award for a High End Luxury Car from Kelly Blue Book. The Macan made a 10 best list from Car and Driver. For a Luxury Compact SUV, the Macan earned a spot on the 10 best Truck and SUV list. This awards list could go on and on if needed.

Safety is another important issue to be considered when choosing a new or used Porsche. For example, the iconic Porsche 911 that has been around since 1963 is a fast vehicle so it has plenty of safety features. It has multiple airbags to protect the driver and the passengers. It has electronic stability control, traction control, and a tire pressure monitor system. Optional features include adaptive cruise control, 4-wheel drive, and high-performance carbon-ceramic brakes that deliver more braking force than regular steel brakes.

Please contact our dealership to test drive a Porsche. This brand has been around since 1931, so it will be like driving a little bit of history! Our sales staff will be happy to help you out with all your needs.
